Henryville Drumline and Winter Guard competed at BB&T arena in the Tristate Marching Arts Championships. This circuit combines organizations from Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky to perform at contests from October to March culminating in Championships of the marching arts.
This was they first year in a long time that we have been able to build both the Guard and Drumline to compete separately. The Guard had a great season; improving their scores at every contest and finishing 6th place at championships.
The Drumline was ranked in 2nd place all season long, but kept improving scores at each contest. This past Saturday the students gave their best performance and pulled out a win by half a point! Making Henryville the Tristate Champions 2 years in a row!

National Honor Society   Please visit the national site representing National Honor Society chapters in high schools all over the country.

Our school’s National Honor Society is dedicated to the four pillars of all NHS chapters:
  • Leadership
  • Character
  • Service
  • Academic Excellence
NHS By-laws (files attached below) reflect this emphasis, and our members dedicate themselves to upholding the high standard to which they were called upon induction.
An induction packet (made up of documents attached below) is available to all qualified applicants:  10th, 11th, and 12th graders that have a GPA of 3.5. This process begins in the second semester, on January 23, 2019. The applications are reviewed by a faculty review committee, which selects students to join this prestigious group.  The applicants’ dedication to and progress in the four pillars is examined closely by the review committee during the selection process.  Students failing to receive an invitation to join the group during one year are encouraged to apply again, after more progress is made in the areas of consideration. Please see the 2019 documents needed for candidates to apply for NHS Membership.
Our chapter meets monthly, before school, at 7:30 am, in the Media Center.  Our officers, which have met with the sponsor in advance to set the meeting agenda, conduct the meeting and document the notes.  The notes are available on this website under the Meeting Notes page.

We believe in our students. We believe in their ability. We believe in their creativity. We believe in their intelligence. We believe in their enthusiasm to all the things they believe in. We believe in their liveliness. We believe in their innocence. We believe in their talent to overcome obstacles in their lives that would make many of us want to give up. We believe in our students.
